The following are among the goals of our association:

1. To make reading and enjoyment of children’s books an essential part of Arab’s educational and social goals.
    
2. To enhance public perception of the importance of the right and freedom to read and disseminating information about books and related materials for young people and information about children’s book publishing.
    
3. To encourage and support school and public libraries.
    
4. To promote the lawful adherence to copyrights and copyright ownerships and to lobby with Arab governments for legislating new and forceful copyright laws.
    
5. To represent members of the association in a unified delegation in international book fairs.
    
6. To identify and honor the best children’s book writers and illustrators in the Arab markets.
